Available for corporate bookings of 1 night or more, mid-week, outside of school holiday periods, The Cow Shed offers you:

  • Comfortable seating and work tables for up to 16 people - can be configured in conference, cabaret or theatre style to suit your needs
  • 3 sets of double doors onto private patio with table and chairs for 8 people
  • Sofa and beanbags for casual breakout area
  • 50" Smart TV with 2 easy access HDMI inputs, plus HDMI cables
  • 12 plug sockets
  • Reliable wifi
  • 2 flip charts with pads
  • 2 white boards
  • Optional football table and ping pong table for coffee breaks


  • The Cow Shed - 4 ensuite bedrooms that can be configured for single or twin occupancy
  • The Mill - 5 further bedrooms are available in The Mill building next door (subject to availability) if further accommodation is required. 4 double/king rooms, 1 twin room, 3 bathrooms

Rest of the space:

  • Fully equipped kitchen, dining for 8 people, plus comfortable lounge area with further 50" smart TV and log burner


Being located in the middle of the UK, on the outskirts of the Peak District National Park, means we not only benefit from a stunning countryside location, but we're also conveniently located for teams from the north, south, east and west to reach.

Planes, trains and automobiles: 

Airports - Manchester and East Midlands airports are both within easy reach - Manchester 1hr 15mins drive, East Midlands 45mins drive.

Train Stations - Derby is the closest train station with direct links from many parts of the country including London St Pancras (1hr 30min), Sheffield (35min), Birmingham New Street (45min), Bristol (2 hr 20min), Cardiff (2hr 50min), Nottingham (30min), Edinburgh (4hr 20min), Newcstle on Tyne (2hr 30min).

Driving - Although we're in the middle of the countryside you can still reach many major cities within a reasonable drivetime, for example: Sheffield (1hr 15min), Birmingham (1hr 15min), Leicester (1hr 15min), Manchester (1hr 45min), Leeds (1hr 45min), York (2hr), Liverpool (2 hr 15min), Oxford (2hr 30min), Reading (3hr), Bristol (3hr), Newcastle Upon Tyne (3hr, 15min), London (3hr, 15min) and Cardiff (3hr, 20min),  

We have parking for up to 8 vehicles on site.
